31 July FRIDAY = SIB camp at El Sanctuary in Melaka.
Promises to be a great time there.
Michael Schumacher is back in F1, probably for 3-4 races while Massa recovers. F1 seems to be in turmoil after BMW pulls out and Toyota will make an announcement within the next 3 weeks.
Lukas will have his Honda Civic 2.0 by 5pm, if all goes well.
My streamyx is fast again. Just for kicks, I put a stopwatch to see how much I can suck over 3 hours and what the average is, well, here it is!

171 kilobytes/sec average combined (1368 kbit/sec). This is not a “peak”, but rather a “sustained average”!
1450 Megabytes = 290 MP3 songs! = 2 movies at decent quality (think axxo) = 2 episodes of Top Gear.
What that means, is that if a phone call is encoded at 28kbit/sec (4KB/s), I have tied up Telekoms “capacity” for 48 simultaneous calls for the past 3 hours!
Same story with SMS. If each SMS is 200 bytes, then I have transferred 7.25 million SMS. I have been downloading stuff from BitTorrent, so if it were to happen on Maxis or Digi’s SMS network, it would have costed me RM 700,000 just for that 3 hour session.
REMEMBER, data is all digital, so its the same whether its SMS or Bit Torrenting.
Now, are you angry as to why your telco overcharges you for SMS when so little data is transmitted?
Congratulations to Cain for successfully passing the final paper. Guess I don’t need to chop off my balls now!
Working on 2 projects: khalij-petroleum.com and cherrygoround.com (online shopping sites selling women’s clothing).
GO KART – hmm.. week of 10 August, ok? Save up your cash, cuz we’re going 2 stints (thats RM 70, ok)?
Badminton Tue – Thursday 4-6pm, Subang Jaya. Going right now :)
August is here, new experiences. New friends in college. It can only get better!

I’m inside the airport now, waiting for the 10:30pm plane back to Msia. Singapore has been fun, albeit expensive. @jasonlim brought Lukas and I around, unfortunately the Discovery Centre closes every monday.
Looking forward to play the PS3 consoles available here at the departure lounge. Internet is 5mbit up/down, so that’s bloody fast.
Its good to be back. COUZ camp this weekend so its gonna be a good fun time.
See you tomorrow!!! BADMINTON!!!

Monday .. day in the City with Lukas, then hang out at Airport til our 10:25pm flight.
There was a Singaporean football player named Jia Yi!
Jiayi was a high school friend of mine, also a Singaporean. She served alongside me as Secretary of Student Council, St. Andrew’s School Brunei.
Uninteresting 60 minutes. Rafa did damage limitation by putting the stars late and pumping the scoreline to be a bit more sensational and memorable.
Saw a bunch of Brunei flags in the stadium. Wonder if those are my friends! lol…
Pls call my digi number cuz my Singtel prepaid out of credit :(

[4pm edit] Both lukas and I arrived safely. Going out tomorrow. Now gonna have dinner with bro while waiting for Dad to fly over here at 8pm.
Just now an uncle ask me to stand up and let his friend sit down. Fine, I stood up. Then he IMMEDIATELY say, aiyah no need lah. So I sat down again. Then he commented about the seats being reserved for old people like him. So I stand up.
Then he shouted loudly for me to sit down so that he doesn’t look bad, at the same time, being in disgust that a young man like me cannot give up his goddamn seat.
IN the end, I looked away and moved to the back of the bus. He shouted to ask me to seat DOWN, I think the old heck was embarrassed. It happened at the CIQ, in Woodlands.
At least the 10 odd other passengers smiled at me, acknowledging that these old hecks are sometimes hard to handle.
Lesson learnt: Dont seat down in MRT / Bus unless youre old or pregnant (girls only lah)

Waiting for Lukas and gang to finish their BROODwar game. Had quite some fun with COD4, but got boring after an hour. Hope there’s pool later.
“Locus iste a Deo factus est,”
Yup, pronounced just as if you’ve would have imagined.

Manchester United Asia Tour 2009
The champions of England, ex-champions of Europe and champions of the WORLD will be playing in Bukit Jalil, Kula Lumpur on the 18th July 2009. For the lucky few who got the training pass (well, 50,000 of us actually) we’ll see our heroes perform magic on the field at 5pm today.
Going with Yew Hui and Lukas Foo.
There are 3 ways to follow the action (from 3:00 – 7:00pm 17 July 2009)
1. Follow us on twitter @lukasfoo and @philipkhor and I believe @radianceleong is going too.
2. Live Video stream on Qik [link] 5pm onwards
3. Photo Stream every 15 minutes [link]
Exciting Day ahead!!!
Word of the day:
A dossier is typically a briefing paper based on an individual of interest in police or intelligence circles. They generally contain a relevant biography, most current information on activities and any special information of interest to the agency, such as having training in various specialized fields (e.g. assassination techniques or money laundering contacts). When the target in question has retired or died, or is of no further interest, the dossier is generally filed away for reference. If the information contained inside or the identity of the person is too sensitive, the dossier is destroyed along with all records of it.

The Nokias 5800 Express Music was the first popular phone with a Digital Compass (Magnetometer) built in. Basically, on that phone, its sole function is to assist the GPS to know which direction you are heading.
Apple developers went one step further.
This is the map overlay feature, combining camera, GPS and the compass. The App will be available for US$1.80 and one day it will eventually come to Malaysia.
Hmm, anybody have Rm 2000 for an iPhone 3GS from Maxsucks?
