Being one hundred percent honest
May 13th, 2009 | Published in Blog
I like being totally honest.
You can say I speak my mind openly, or… I am an opinionated person.
I like to be clear cut, precise, truthful.
A couple of days ago, I gave a copy of Our Daily Bread to Melvyn. Straight off the bat, I told him, “Eh, I’m trying to convert you to Christianity. Just read and think about it lah :)”
Another time last month, I wrote a Paroimia-Paroimia (a Parody of the Easter Play) with crude references to Jesus. yes, I acknowledge it might be offensive to some. I’m just surprised that certain people are so soft, tensed, and offended by certain jokes! How sensitive society has become today. Wah, like that we go to the pubs of London and Manchester, sure die lah. Our ears will bleed.
I don’t like salesman.
I like creative salesman.
What I mean is, lets say you have a broadband product. You are trying to sell me an inferior technology without YOU knowing your own product. You BS to me all the technical jargon thinking I’m an idiot who falls for numbers like 10 time faster than dialup, wide coverage, and rm 49 per month. You think I don’t know the difference between 1400 mhz and 1024 MB of memory.
That is regarding knowledge. Another thing I hate is deception.
“NO. Our Max** broadband is truly unlimited one. Use all you like!”
Right. Touch 30GB per month, you disconnect me already, even though I download legitimate content.
“I’m parking car now… 5 minutes, 5 minutes!!!”
“I’m at the roundabout now, just 5 more minutes!”
Another thing I hate is the word “BUT” after acknowledging certain things. You are pretty, but fat. You are smart, but impractical. KEEP IT TO YOUR MUTHA****ING SELF! Ok, I’m guilty of using this “but” too lah. I try to reduce now and just acknowledge that people are right, and I am NOT always right.
Things I have said before: (Honest shit)
1. You’re fat.
2. You’re depressed.
3. You’re short.
4. That’s a stupid idea.
5. No, it cannot be done.
6. No, I am right.
7. No I cannot make it to ______.
8. No I don’t have time
9. No problem (either negatively, or positively)
10. I am doing this assignment solo because you have nothing valuable to contribute.
You don’t always have to agree. But be polite! :)
