Going to KLCC area for the 2 day “Summit” was awesome.
On the way there, not wanting to be late, I used the known, tried and tested route. No problem. I got there in about 20 minutes from Subang Jaya.
After a tiring day, the Magellan in me decide to use the Airport highway, cutting out at OUG / Bkt Jalil area. I missed the turning (or U-Turn) and boom, I went past the North South Expressway (Sg. Besi toll)!!!!
Can’t be that bad… drove at 110 km/h to the next stop, which was Kajang. If I was travelling with friends, then we would have stopped for satay. It was 7pm, and the sun was just setting. What an awesome sight.
Soon, I passed Marriott Putrajaya. I was puzzled. Eh, I thought Putrajaya was freaking far away? Have I really travelled that far? I looked at my watch, and I’ve only been in the car for 20 minutes tops. I was there for my sister Olivia’s wedding in 2004. The place still looks the same, but the roads were fun to drive on. Most of it is toll free. So if you have time, I’m sure there are short-cuts and toll-free ways to the Airport from town.
Passed through Puchong (again, thought of Having Syabu Syabu) but meh, no friends. Fortunately it was Sunday and there was no jam. I reached home exactly 60 minutes after leaving Nikko Hotel.
Here’s a visual on my journey. And I believe I spent under RM 5 on toll in total. I drove 3 times the distance I’m supposed to, but hey, this was how new places are discovered!
