Its a bookies game

Before I comment on the events at Nikko Hotel, I’d like to address the Chelsea – Man Utd game last night.
It was a charity game, an exhibition match. Which idiot would want to commit 100% and risk getting injured before the season proper even kick start?
United fans shouldn’t resort to weak excuses such as “Ballack should be sent off”, “The cup is worth nothing”, et cetera. In the words of a Scouser I know, for Man United this game was for “Testing, nia..”
That said, I still believe the words of a Singaporean gambler that football matches are pre-determined by bookies. The betting market goes into the billions of USD worldwide on good matches. If both Chelsea and Man United get a small cut, it would surely help them in their January transfer window, for example and of course help Man United to pay off their huge debt.
We cannot deny the superiority and threat that Chelsea pose to Man United for all 4 honours we are both chasing for. Right now, the crazy Russian is planning ahead for some Christmas arsenal reinforcements. We can’t buy now thanks to the idiots in Madrid and across town who inflated the market to astronomical Football Manager 2009-esque prices.
Manchester United and Chelsea will have to play the waiting game in the transfer market. They will also have to have a “Williams Sisters Arrangement (WSA)” where, “Oh, you won Wimbledon last year. Let me win Australian Open now!”.
This season promises to be better than ever before. All four clubs are weakened. We shouldn’t be alarmed of the results of the first month or two. It is not how fast you start but how strong you finish.
Oh, one more thing.
