Elderly Liverpool Couple

January 31st, 2010  |  Published in Blog

Was at KLCC area, and was taking some pictures with Melvyn and Jose. Then we asked an elderly couple to help us take some pics (which were terrible!) hahahaa…

When asked where they were from, they replied, “LIVERPOOL!”

I immediately bombed them, “One of the lousiest football team in teh world!” Hahahaa… then Melvyn brought me to my senses before I blew up with stupid comments!

When I think back, I thought it was quite insensitive. After all, they are elderly couples in retirement. How can I be so selfless, heartless and critisize the city they’re from, when they have an awesome University and nice vibrantculture?

Then, upon second reflection, I thought to myself. I’m “merely” showing them the Malaysian passionate football culture. We like their football, we like their flare. I think it was within the limits allowed. No profanities, just a light-hearted joke.

Shows the tolerance, and accomodating nature of Malaysians.

Then again, I might have painted a dark image of Man United supporters? I thought I was being passionate. But I guess it was at other’s expense.

If I go Liverpool, they say “Eh, your Malaysian food is rubbish” I’ll just nod and politely smile! RIGHT?

At the end of the day, would I do it again? I think, yes… but maybe to a more younger audience. Then of course, I would be subjected to a good whacking, if he’s an aggressor!! LOL!

A Bit About Tigers

January 27th, 2010  |  Published in Blog

Quoted from: http://www.chinesezodiac.com/tiger.php

Fire Tiger – Years 1926 and 1986

Expressive, vibrant and a bit eccentric, Fire Tigers are always looking at the positive side of every situation. Because they’re able to generate excitement in others, they’re considered excellent leaders. When Fire Tigers speak, others listen – and do what they’re told!

I was told that zodiacs and horoscopes use very general vague language to suit as many people as possible. This results in high “hit rates” when it comes to matching your personality. Oddly though, I wish to believe this analysis! hahaha..

and of course another element is….

Wood Tiger – Years 1914 and 1974

Not feeling the need to be in charge, Wood Tigers work well with others. Others enjoying being around Wood Tigers because they’re very giving individuals. They’re compassionate and willing to do whatever is necessary to help others.

Ha ha ha…

OH, check out this Facebook Video on the 3 types of English [FB...?v=177987672834]

And check out a local movie production WooHoo [woohoo.my] about the Tiger dance. 2010, by the way, is the year of the Metal tiger. And if you’re a Lillian Too or Joey faithful, then buy metal shares like gold, tin, aluminum and precious metals.

Oh, and no offense to buddy John Sam, but couldn’t I buy 2 items twice to get 2 of those RM 20 vouchers? Or, is this a reverse psychology promo that we should talk about “offline” :) *wink*

Whoa, what a roller coaster ride it has been.

I went for a assessment test at Maybank, did a Presentation and was asked for medical.

And I thought this was it.

And it turned out to be a “pre-mature celebration”!

I will only find out on the 3rd February (Wednesday) whether or not I will be offered a job in MAYBANK HQ as IT Auditor.

He gave, and he take it all :)

On the flip side, 31 January 2010 is GRADUATION DAY!

Time to play that Vitamin C song over and over again! BLEH…

Arsenal top EPL!

January 21st, 2010  |  Published in Blog

It’s just past the half way point on the premier league and Arsenal tops? Looks like @aidanlegend @y2ngwei Edwin and the other gunners finally in the promised land.

Will they have the firepower to last through the remainder of the season? Which team will have the depth to carry through as the fixtures pile up?

That, is the question!

Liverpool ain’t doing too shabby, within a sniff of C. League playoff spot. The league seems to get more exciting every year.

THURSDAY IS HERE!!! WOOTZAH!!

Lenovo TV Ad

January 19th, 2010  |  Published in Blog

Ok, I’m now gonna act as if I know everything about advertising and TVCs. So please bear with me.

I just watched the Lenovo laptop ad

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=249247918041

I must give credit to the camera work. It was well shot and directed.

As for the concept, the voice overs. ALL RUBBISH! Looks like they took it out of an outdated Marketing textbook! I’m betting the director is a middle aged balding dude who just hired a freshie with textbook ideas.

An example of a good advertisement in my opinion is by

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sPvLRVrvC8

DIGI Telecommunications on their 3G service.

Easy to understand, clear message on what it’s all about and something we can relate to. Not some crazy story line about creativity and attempted collaboration! Pe-tuui!

BOTH are technology companies and it is really shocking how one can get it so wrong while the other hits the nail!

And if you want to be wow-ed, just check out Apple’s theme for all advertisements on their products. [at Apple.com of course]

Color edit this please?

January 18th, 2010  |  Published in Blog

I took a picture of Maju Junction this morning, and it failed epicly. The color is wrong, the sun is overexposed, the leaves are not green enough.

I wonder if any Photoshop guru out there can help me fix it!

Add your fixes to the comments section.

Thank you for your time!
