4am Woke up

5am KL Sentral rendezvous with Syukri (Cameraman)

5:30am Train left on time

8;30am Arrive Ipoh as scheduled

9:00am Taxi-man got lost

9:15am – 2pm Indulgence Restaurant

a. Met Mark & Mdm Julie Song, Amy Ng (Mass Comm graduate)

b. Set up camera at downstairs lounge

- Lighting was challenging.

- Getting the right shot was trial and error process

- Limitation of 1 light as opposed to 2 lights

- Recorded on hard disk, 60GB

- Microphones work flawlessly. Mic very sensitive, picked up traffic ambient sounds

- Half shot, head shot, zooming in while interviewing, different techniques

- Commands: Standby, rolling

C. Personnel

- Met Lee Cheng Hooi and Mr. Chin Sek Chuan (Ipoh manager)

- Met Gerard Ambrose (Portfolio manager, one word investment firm, 8-10 characters) KL Kepong & Batu Kawan didn’t invest!

- Jessie, restaurant manager

- Tan Sri Dato Lee Oi Hian interview was smooth. Pick out good points which builds story about Property Ipoh

- Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Lai… very careful person.

3pm – Went for shots (B-Roll) at Train Station, Indulgence outside shot, Airport (hello, goodbye) but most required shots are train station. Got Tambun posh / high end housing, very nice shots (3-5 good ones, as fillers)

D. To-do

In total, we have all the throw-ins and throw-outs required (train station). Voice over needs to be done ASAP between Intro & Julie (first interview)

Get Charts from Cheng Hooi (KLK on his laptop for his piece)
