Dad’s New Home

Over the weekend, I spent a memorable time in Penang (Kg. Tun Sardon to be exact). After years of “planning” and “delaying”, it finally is finished.

The first thing I got down from the KTM train is to have this curry noodles near my old house. It is heavenly, although it makes me teary and nose runny.

My last day of work *should* be 14th November, so after that, I’ll take 2 weeks off and enjoy the awesome place in the village. Being a 100% city boy for the past 5-6 years straight, it is a breathe of fresh air to quieten down the heartbeat and enjoy the slower pace of life. Then December? Crunch time: Apply, apply, apply kaw kaw.

I found out that THAT was my mistake when jobhunting. The worrying part bogged me down. I didn’t enjoy my 4 months of “chilling” between last exam paper and start of 1st day at work. It was… poorly planned. Now with a “scheduled” holiday, I feel better!

Today at 5am we went to Broga Hill.

It was very tiring, but fun.

It was fun. We had noodles at a small town kopitiam. Service was beyond awesome (as in the personal touch!)
