Launch day, Friday 29 April 2011 I woke up and had the intention to go gym as usual at Lot 10. I found out there was a Machines store (apple reseller) and I saw a huge queue.
It was the famous Apple launch day queue!!!
Fanatics have been known to queue for days in portable camps just to be the first few to touch the new iDevices!
By 12 noon I had it and when I got home from work I activated this baby and began my exploration.
Amazing.
We used to (and continue to) joke that the iPad is merely a large iPod touch. Boy was I wrong! The extra real estate makes so much more apps come alive. Two of my current favorites are FLIPBOARD and GARAGEBAND. Flipboard makes your twitter and facebook stream into a book like layout presentation. All those links pics and videos are loaded and presented in a fun new way. And GarageBand is just epic. With smart instruments and easy to navigate interface, making music has never been this easy. This is akin to the full blown Mac version.
With the iPhones hd video cam and my iPads powerful editing capabilities, I am indeed more equipped to push out an epic Pip’s podcast!
Hopefully this coming week as my training week I can come home early and explore more of this iPad 2! With dual core A5 chip at 1Ghz, up to 9 times increase in graphic performance, legendary 10 hour battery life and a matured iOS 4.3 this is the gadget of 2011 hands down!
Gonna have lunch with sis in Ikea and hopefully see man united play arsenal tonight, woohoo,
Overspent today (like most weekends) but definitely had a blast. I had a good time today, Saturday 23/04/2011. United won 1-0, but the whole day was just perfect.
*I’m feeling abit optimistic today despite the circumstances. Its a brand new day, excitement awaits.
I’m broke but I’m happy
I’m poor but I’m kind
I’m short but I’m healthy, yeah
I’m high but I’m grounded
I’m sane but I’m overwhelmed
I’m lost but I’m hopeful baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything’s gonna be fine fine fine
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five
I feel drunk but I’m sober
I’m young and I’m underpaid
I’m tired but I’m working, yeah
I care but I’m worthless
I’m here but I’m really gone
I’m wrong and I’m sorry baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything’s gonna be quite alright
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is flicking a cigarette
What it all comes down to
Is that I haven’t got it all figured out just yet
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving the peace sign
I’m free but I’m focused
I’m green but I’m wise
I’m shy but I’m friendly baby
I’m sad but I’m laughing
I’m brave but I’m chicken shit
I’m sick but I’m pretty baby
And what it all boils down to
Is that no one’s really got it figured out just yet
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano
What it all comes down to my friends
Is that everything’s just fine fine fine
I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailing a taxicab…
There are many people who should not be going to expensive colleges/universities to get degrees – you don’t need a degree in General Studies, Women’s Studies, etc, etc. That’s what this article is addressing (though in a sort of round-a-bout way).
However, if you’re going to be an engineer, doctor, lawyer, or other highly skilled professional which requires higher education and brings with it a significant increase in pay over not having a degree.
