Back in May, I was anxious to my Tourist Guide test results. It’s out – I passed! See my Tik Tok:
My heart is full of joy due to the positive changes I’m experiencing at work. What used to be a daily struggle with anxiety has transformed into tranquil days at the office. While I still have to manage shifts, there’s a sense of calmness now.
In July, my friends will be working the night shift from 10 pm to 7 am. If you’re young, adventurous, and seeking a new challenge, consider sending your resume/CV to pip@philipkhor.com. Working in Penang is delightful; there’s delicious food, affordable entertainment, and much better traffic compared to Kuala Lumpur.
I’m excited about the upcoming Planetshaker Conference at the end of July. I’ll be taking unpaid leave for a quick trip down to Kuala Lumpur – it’s going to be amazing! I’ve been a fan since my days in Brunei back in the early 2000s. Want to join? I have two spare tickets to share. Just contact me at pip@philipkhor.com.
There’s a special reason why I chose this image for this month’s post. HSBC was my second job back in 2011, working in the European time zone, and I cherished the wonderful friendships I made. Even though we don’t talk as much anymore, we still keep in touch after 13 years!
Can you believe it’s been 15 years since I graduated in 2009? Time flies. I sometimes compare myself to my successful friends who are senior managers, business owners, and achievers in many other ways. While I sigh at my own path, I recognize how truly blessed I am.
I am indeed blessed – I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and fun activities every weekend. Finding joy in every circumstance is important to me. I’m fortunate to still have my dad around; he prepares breakfast, does the laundry, and buys dinner while I’m returning from work, ensuring I have a simple yet satisfying meal.
